Standalone form works every now and again. That would make things less confusing. I'm wanting to import a CSV file into a custom content type. The importer is attached to the "Movie" content type. Attach importer to News source (each node of that type must have a title to identify it), then map imported content to News. It's trying to be clever and get the title from the feed.

I don't quite understand how I should give the file permissions in a Windows environment before I upload the file. Ok, I can use older nodes (or, maybe, simple custom module if it will necessary) with this type, but is it have a way to import without manually created nodes? Shouldn't Drupal prevent the import if it cannot get the title? What we should do is add a method parsers, something like, hasTitle(), so that we can know if a title is even possible. for the record, Fatal error: Call to undefined function link_content_is_empty() means there is a link in the content type, but the CCK link module is not enabled or not present. Changing it to 777 makes it working. Generic XML doesn't have a predictable title field. Any more ideas? It works for everything except for the title field.
